Zen and the Great art of Winning!
Once Zen, the favourite disciple of Buddha said to his colleagues, "Nobody can defeat me in my whole life". Immediately the fellow disciples eagerly asked him, "Zen, please reveal your invisible secret, we also do not want to get defeated".
Zen replied solemnly, "It is impossible to defeat me".
The fellow disciples became impatient to know Zen's great art of winning because since childhood they always dreamt of becoming invincible. They gathered around Zen and pleaded, "Sir, if you tell us the secret of winning, we will be very thankful to you for the rest of our lives."
Zen smiled and replied politely, "Nobody can defeat me in my whole life because I have no intention to win".
Love can flower only where there is no intention to win. The mad desire to win itself is the reason for all the wicked and scheming behaviour patterns of the human psyche. Today, people carry out crimes against humanity in the name of patriotism, nationality, boundary, cult, group, religion, creed, family, private property and others. What is the meaning in spending time and energy for the finite pleasure of winning?
Sri Krishna says, "Blessed are pure in heart, for unto them is given the knowledge of God."

Chandra,
Very interested in your work here and would love to follow through with a read of your book as time permits. In particular, this statement from your post has caught my coherent attention:
“Nevertheless, when the honest Brahma-Jnani, the enlightened one realizes all the clever and profit oriented nature of the mind; he or she will witness a great renaissance within. Such energy will slowly, but steadily move toward the eternal height of the Kala-Jnana where all the hidden truths of the cosmic creation will be revealed with authentic grip on the flow of time.”
Having read Chogyam Trumpa's “Spirtiutal Materialism” several years ago and contemplated its message ever since, I find myself in accordance with your use of the word “hypocritical” in reference to the central, profit-oriented feature of the “modern” mind. Acquisition of knowledge, as “profit,” imprisons the mind to leave it incapable of anything but librarianship. Thus ego becomes not just the frame for our attention, but the lens itself preoccupied with analysis and hoarding - while incabable of the soft focus necessary to escape the illusion of space-time and on to liberation/turiya.
Slowly, steadily, the curious mind wanders in the field of knowledge, carefully selecting certain “subjects” to imbibe. Practice incorporates this knowledge to capability and the mind rests in service to the unfolding Truth.
I have been focused in this same area for some time - devoted to this same arena and the transition from Brahma to Kala orientation. For me, this work is focused in addressing the pre-Kosmic origins of cause and the electromagnetics of the Word:
“Ah,” (appraisal of beauty-as-Shakti) “Oh,” (recognition of resonance within) “Ooooh,” (incorporation of re-cognition electro-chemically as emotion) “Mmmmm …” (service prayer of gratitude to Shiva to sustain the production of “Ahhh …” and so on.)
Contemplating the Word and the abstractions which led to cause, sacrifice, and manifest “nature,” I am grateful to you for your work and look forward to a long, careful read of your book,
best,
Michael
Hi Chandra,
Is the Kala-Jnana the same thing as what Aurobindo called the psychic being?
Best,
David
David, it is not the psychic being, but the psychic energy. If Aurobindo used a word 'being' then Aurobindo done a small mistake in his big journey.
'Being' means there is self identity and so it is selfish energy, but unselfish energy does not have any self identity. Here lies the ‘Tripura Rahasya' of the Advaita Vedanta.
From ages, there are two energies that are moving in a human mind, selfish and unselfish. But now the selfish energy is frustrated and searching for a shelter because of the end time futility. It is using a mask of the false prophet to regain its power. But these games will not work now.
5000 years ago, Sri Krishna grasped that it is impossible to transform the material world before the completion of the appointed age. He realized that human ego would never agree that bad exists in them. So, without bifurcating good and bad he metaphorically requested all the forces of the mind to go ahead till it witness a final crunch. By keeping this sincere spiritual intention in mind he says, ”For every good and bad vibrations of human mind and society HE IS THE REASON”.

No David, Kala-Jnana and the very word psychic being are not the same. But Araobindo attained some of the energetic secret of Kala-Jnana, the flow of Time that exists in nature. He predicted the flow of time (Kala-Jnana) in a scientific manner and once he said that the new form of the enlightened energy is started emerging in a human brain and this energy will take a innovative shape in future in one particular person's brain with the highly electromagnetic character and will become the reason for great renaissance in the world. He declared that this will occur within 50 to 100 years.
David, Kala-Jnani can predict the past, present and the future movement of the world with the complete spiritual accuracy. All other Jnana is limited to human knowledge where the self centered conclusions still exists.
